Ohio has a strong tradition of charitable giving by individuals, foundations and corporations.  Organized philanthropy has helped efforts to aid citizens most in need, protected the environment, nurtured the arts, improved health, strengthened the education system and contributed greatly to improving the quality of life throughout Ohio.
