Preview of OGF Education Initiative's Report "Beyond Tinkering"

Description:  Helen Williams, Education Program Director, The Cleveland Foundation and Ann Mullin, Senior Program Officer-Education, The George Gund Foundation gave members a "sneak preview" of the recommendations in OGF's upcoming report on education policy: "Beyond Tinkering: Creating Real Opportunities for Today's Learners and for Generations of Ohioans to Come."  This report reflects the thinking of a diverse coalition of stakeholder groups, including foundation leaders, educators and the organizations they represent. All joined in a common effort to explore ways to prepare Ohio students for success in the global economy and to guarantee quality teaching and effective school leadership.  (December 12, 2008)
