George E. Espy is president of Ohio Grantmakers Forum (OGF), headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. Ohio Grantmakers Forum is the statewide association of foundations, corporate giving programs and other grantmaking public charities.

Mr. Espy has been with Ohio Grantmakers Forum since 2000, having served as the director of its NE Ohio office before assuming his present position. Prior to his work with Ohio Grantmakers Forum, he was executive director of Seventh Generation, a nonprofit environmental education organization. Espy is also an ordained Presbyterian minister.

Mr. Espy chairs the board of directors of the Forum of Regional Associations of Grantmakers - a national philanthropic network of regional associations; and is also the chair of the Ohio Attorney General’s Charitable Advisory Council. He is  a member of the board of directors of the Council on Foundations, and is on the executive committee of Midwest Community Foundation Ventures, a four state capacity building collaborative for community foundations.

Mr. Espy holds a B.A. in history from the University of Pittsburgh, has earned two graduate degrees from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, is married with three children and lives in Dublin, Ohio.
