Buried among the thousands of pages of this year’s Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is a provision providing tax relief for small businesses – including nonprofit organizations – that provide health insurance to their employees. This small business health care tax credit applies to regular health insurance as well as add-on dental and vision coverage. The credit applies beginning this year, for returns filed in 2011.
